Acceptance and Exclusions
- Dogs are accepted based on character and temperament, not breed, size or age - for puppies 12 to 34 weeks please see Puppy Boarding.
- Dogs that are seriously aggressive to people or other dogs are not accepted, for safety reasons.
- We cannot take bitches in season.
- My licence allows for between two and four dogs for boarding and daycare, depending on size (for instance four up to medium size, or two large breeds). We mainly take in dogs Beagle sized or smaller, but do occasionally have space for larger breeds as we also have two 'host' families with their own licences who can take in the larger breeds if we are full.
- Dogs new to my family will be boarded alone for their entire stay as much as possible, although they will be mixing with my dogs and my regular daycare dogs so must be able to tolerate dog company. Dogs are not allowed to 'bother' another dog when it wants to be left alone. Dogs don't have to 'mix', in fact they are encouraged to interact with the humans in the home, not the other dogs.
Arrivals and Departure times
(Allowing for my dog walking schedule)
- You may drop off or collect your dog between 6am - 10pm
- If you need collection and/or delivery – 9am - 7pm except by arrangement (an additional fee may be required)
- Bank holidays – collection and drop off times may be restricted as we like to have 'days out'.
What to Bring
- Your dog's usual food, please allow some extra
- A blanket or their bed for their first stay
- An old t-shirt you have slept in if you think they may be anxious their first time
- Vaccination certificate for your dog (if not up-to-date please let me know)
- Toys if required, although I prefer you not to bring them in case of squabbles. I have plenty of toys here (double of everything)

Early booking is essential to avoid disappointment; school holidays please allow around 6 months to be sure of your space. 50% of the fee secures your booking – the final 50% will be due on date of arrival. In the event of cancellation the payment on account will only be returned (less 10% for admin costs) for any days I can rebook the space. We are always willing to hear from people who may be interested in 'hosting' our special dogs when they need a holiday.
